check out www.audis2.ch. go to technische Berichte. Then bottom left Bericht Coupe-Rückleuchten. Later scroll down and you'll find 2 pics. On the left is the older US Version. I think the newer one on the right looks good. The car may belong to stone.reto@gmx.ch. Just ask him.

The numbers I got off the lenses were completely different. Let me know if you need me to dig further.

                Marco + Desmo,

I'm beginning to see a pattern here...

Marco, your second bike was a big twin wasn't it? Desmo runs a big twin and I run a big twin, so does this now confirm we ride and drive vehicles for the sound they make?

Absolutely not! My other car is a 1970 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS454. It is .060" over making it 468 cubic inches. Dual 3" exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers. Sets car alarms off when I idle by...
                  See, I drive something civil.

                        :eek2: Jesus !! 468 CI is a "big" displacement. I guess it's a V8 engine, isn't it!
Two of it's pistons almost make an S2 engine...
and then there are other 6

Well.... if what psichologists say about people pursuiting "big, shiny, and LOUD" exhausts, monster turbos, monster wheels etc...

These don't seem like regulare Audi part numbers but that what was on the lenses. Do you know where the part numbers would be found?

Yeah, a V8. Goes like hell in a straight line but it can't stop or turn!

Yep...and don't forget that way back when, cars needed motors like that just to get them going. They were absolutely huge, and very heavy. So the normal engine might have been a 5.7 litre, and a car's performance motor might have been a 6.6 or larger. And even those cars weren't insanely fast, but they had ENORMOUS potential due to the tuning from the manufacturer.
